What is an NFC plushie?
An NFC plushie is a soft toy with a tiny NFC chip sewn inside — the same contactless technology used in transport cards and tap-to-pay. When someone holds a phone near it, the phone opens a web page. On our plushies, that page is the day's affirmation: a short, kind message that changes every day.

How an NFC plushie works

- The chip sits in the plushie's forehead. Most phones read it from a couple of centimetres away.
- 2. The message opens in the browser

The chip has no battery. It's powered for a moment by the phone's own NFC field, so there's nothing to charge or replace, and nothing inside that switches on by itself.
