What are the feeling stories?
One short story for each character in the Fluffdex. Every story is about a real feeling — worry before a big day, anger when something is unfair, the ache of missing somebody — and ends with a moral you can talk about together.
How long is each story?
About 400 words, or three minutes read aloud. They are written to be read in one sitting at bedtime, or in a classroom circle.
What age are they for?
Roughly 4 to 9. Younger children enjoy them read aloud; readers of about seven upwards can manage them alone.
How do I find the right story?
Search how your child is feeling — try “can't sleep”, “left out”, “first day”, “broke something” — or filter by one of the eight feelings. Every story is tagged with the situations it fits.
Are they free?
Yes. Every story on this page is free to read and free to read aloud in a classroom. No account, no sign-up.
What do I do after the story?
Each one ends with that character's move — a simple calming trick, like Dragon Breath or 5-4-3-2-1 — so the story finishes with something a child can actually do.
