One day, one feeling
The day as anxious saw it
8 fluffs stand for anxious in the Fluffdex, and all 8 of them were there that day. Here is what it was, from inside each of them. Anxious grows into Bravery.

Blushy's Day
held the ladder for six hours, and said eleven words at a door in front of everybody
I am extremely good at pointing at somebody else. I did it twice today without thinking about it once. I would like to have a go at standing still next time somebody points at me.

Bravo's Day
took the bank job off somebody who could not refuse it, and said out loud that it frightened me
Somebody said yes to that bank because the whole yard was watching. I have said yes like that a hundred times. The fix is not being braver. It is noticing who is being watched when the job gets handed out.

Jitters' Day
practised until it stopped wobbling, and saw the one gap nobody else could see
I practised it forty times because I wanted it to be good, not because I was frightened. Those two feel exactly the same from the inside and they are not the same thing at all.

Neaty's Day
counted fifty-four and would not let go of it
There is fussing that is only worry wearing a tidy coat, and there is noticing that something is actually wrong. I have spent years being told they are the same thing. They are not, and today I could tell which was which.

Peeky's Day
said the count out loud twice, and made the whole yard stop the second time
The first time I say a thing is the brave one. The second time is the one that works. I had always thought I only got one go.

Shivvy's Day
named the four places on the path where the dark is worst, and got lanterns put in all of them
The thing I am frightened of turns out to be the thing I know most about. Somebody had to know where the dark was, and it was always going to be me.

Truly's Day
said the bridge hooks were wrong while there was still time to redo them
I did not need more courage this afternoon. I needed somebody to stop talking for one minute, and Chatty is the last fluff in this land I would have expected to hand me that.

Yetty's Day
got forty feet of good rope out of a knot the size of a cat
Nobody watched me do that knot, and that was the best part of it. An hour with nobody's eyes on me is where I get things done.
